Once again, an incredible well-run, well-organised weekend: thank you! Please convey the OCC’s thanks and my heartfelt appreciation to all the staff, from Trina in Reception to Paul and his amazing team in Catering and the Bar: everyone who attended was bowled over by the friendliness and efficiency of all involved.

With members whose days are spent sailing the world’s oceans and exploring unusual and isolated anchorages, there was some trepidation when the announcement was made that we would be using a Business School for our upcoming Awards event. HMS Victory would have been a preferred choice!
However, the survey done immediately after our weekend event virtually demanded that we return.
Fantastic surroundings, spectacular venue. Incredibly friendly and efficient staff. Amazing Dinner. Nothing was too much trouble. Reasonable budget, great rooms, easy parking. And wifi!

Just a quick note of thanks to yourself, Paula, Jen, Ken and all the other staff at Greenlands for your hard work in making our event run really smoothly over the last few days. Our delegates were really impressed with the standard of your facility, the comfort, amazing food and friendliness of all your staff. Please do pass on my thanks.


I just wanted to send you a note to thank you so much for all your help and support in organising our management team event. This went really well and was due to your dedication to our event. I really appreciated the fact that you were on hand the two days we were there to help with any additional needs and often came across to our meeting room to respond to requests at very short notice, which you did in a really timely manner. It was such a relief to have your support, which meant that I didn’t have to worry about arrangements and could concentrate on participating fully at the event.

The organising of the Pavillion Restaurant for our Murder Mystery evening was fantastic. The room looked lovely, and was the perfect setting, as you suggested. You completely took charge of the outside contractors who arrived for the Murder Mystery evening so I didn’t need to be bothered with this, again a great help. You also arranged for us to have specific spirits (not normally part of the package) for our pre-dinner drinks, and anything a bit out of the ordinary for other parts of our event (as seems to happen with all our events) you took in your stride with a smile. I’d also like to thank Paula as well, who picked up messages for you and passed them on promptly and seemed to be aware of the status of our requests at any given time. You all work really well together as a team.

Your hard work and dedication to making our event a success really paid off and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely, despite the fact that it was a work meeting.

I also wanted to say that all the staff we encountered were really helpful and on the ball in respect of all our questions, in particular the gentleman on the desk who dealt with me when I arrived the night before. He knew all the arrangements for our event the following day, despite the fact he wouldn’t be there and gave me useful information on how to access the meeting room the following morning for taking materials across in the car, and more general information about my stay there that night. The bar staff were more than accommodating in opening slightly early when our meeting finished and people wanted a 30 mins break with each other socially before going back to their rooms to change for the evening event.

Once again, I’d really like to thank everyone at Greenlands for making our event as stress free and enjoyable as can be.

We got married at Greenlands on May 25th 2013. We really wanted the setting to our wedding to be along the River Thames and have a licence to hold the ceremony in the same venue as the celebration. We visited lots of venues but the moment we drove up the driveway to Greenlands we knew that we had found the ideal place. The house is beautiful and the grounds took our breath away. What made our decision even easier was the attitude and the dedication that we received from Paula and Derreck. In our initial sessions we knew that Paula and Derreck knew exactly what our vision for our big day was and we felt like it was the only thing that they had to do for the next year!! The communication was fantastic throughout the planning process, and the attention to detail from ensuring our other suppliers were contacted to the menu tasting was brilliant. When the big day finally arrived as a bride and groom we were completely relaxed and had no worries at all, Derreck had everything in hand. The team was highly organised and were just as excited for us as our invited guests were! The venue looked fabulous and felt like it was all ours for the enitre weekend. The arrangement Greenlands made with Hobbs of Henley was awesome, we wanted to incorporate the river into our day and this arrangement was brilliant. The food was magnificent, and cooked to a very high standard. Our guests had an amazing day and continue to tell us how beautiful the venue and how great the day was! For us, our wedding day was perfect – helped in massive part by the staff at Greenlands.

Dear Paula and Dereck,
We really can’t thank you enough, not just for being so accommodating with us, especially at any tricky times, but for being such lovely people to work with! Nothing was a problem even for your staff which made for a super relaxing and enjoyable time for us, with a lot less pressure.
We had such a wonderful evening, although it seemed to disappear in a snip, which was all down to you! And, it was a huge success. We think we have made a little over £8,000 which exceeds last year’s! We couldn’t be happier, plus everyone seemed to be in great spirits and have paid us many compliments since and on your stunning venue.

Everyone thought the venue was fantastic (we have been in the Great House at Sonning and Hotel du Vin for the last seven trainings). I and the other presenter were especially impressed with the IT in the plenary room. Everything worked, first time. And I can assure you that this very rare. The rooms were just right. The syndicate rooms the right size. The meals were spot on, and nice to be in the presence of other groups. Coffee on demand, is a MAJOR plus. Your reception desk staff were kind and particularly helpful. And the view, well that was something special (and I say that as someone how has lived in Henley for 14 years).

Dear Paula
We have not met since my Birthday Lunch, but I feel that I must write and thank you for the excellence of the total event. The weather was fine and sunny and everyone was greeted with a glass of wine as they arrived on the lawn. Then we moved into lunch and the food was wonderful. (My friends are still talking about the Bread and Butter Pudding!) After the speeches, people were totally relaxed and enjoying the Champagne and Birthday Cake. In fact, we were quite sorry when we had to leave such a lovely party in such beautiful surroundings. At Cirkle, we hold two company away days each year, so it is always a challenge to find somewhere different, close to our office, yet still with all the facilities we require.
