Fans of the Midsomer Murders series will already know that Henley-on-Thames and the surrounding towns and villages form the basis for the locations for the ever-popular series.

Greenlands is a fantastic base to explore Midsomer and stay in one of the featured locations and is also a star of the show itself, featuring as ‘The Belvoir Hotel’ featured in the 2014 episode The Flying Club.

Greenlands is a working business school, not normally open to the public, but guests staying on our Midsomer Weekend B&B package have free access to use the restaurant, bar and lounges in the main house as well as the chance to explore the magnificent gardens and grounds on the bank of the Thames, used for many external shots over the years.

Spend a relaxing week on the beautiful River Thames taking in the sights and sounds of 9 Midsomer villages and 30 different filming locations. Click here for itinerary and details

Excellent driving and walking tour guides are also  available for Midsomer Weekenders courtesy of the team at www.visitmidsomer.com, or if you’re feeling more adventurous, perhaps try a self-drive river tour with Hobbs of Henley. There are plenty of familiar locations to spot in Henley itself – Henley Bridge (Dead in the Water), Hart Street (Down amongst the Dead Men) and the Town Hall (Last Year’s Model) to name just three!

A Greenlands Midsomer Weekend B&B package costs just £195 for two persons, which includes two nights (Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday) in one of our executive rooms plus breakfast in our Heyworth dining room with it’s wonderful views across the gardens and the Thames, or during the summer months enjoy breakfast al fresco on the restaurant terrace.
